Born and raised in Salento, Daniela begins her adventure with papiermache as a restorer of antique objects made out of this versatile yet difficult to work material. She then, in recent years, thought of creating something different from the traditional use that was until then made of papiermache. And here we have beautiful jewels and lampshades, having as a common base this poor material, so strongly connected with the south of Italy and all of its - mainly religious - traditions. Sometimes she also adds another unique touch given by the use of another unusual material which happens to be very easy to find here in the south: the prickly pear pad fiber. We bet you are curious now, aren't you?
